Rigidcore Marine Applications

The marine industry has been seeking to eliminate wood products in hulls, decks and bulkheads for a number of years to improve durability, increase stiffness and reduce weight. Rigidcore’s geometric design, which is based upon a tetrahedral – octahedral honeycomb lattice, results in a light-weight structure able to handle forces applied from virtually all directions, even when used on a standalone basis. If you are a boat designer and you are seeking an inherently rigid core material as an alternative to marine plywood, balsa, foam and/or traditional honeycomb, we may be able to help. We are presently looking for research and development partners in the marine industry who can potentially benefit from Rigidcore’s inherent stiffness, durability, ability to hold a fastener and capacity to handle forces from all directions.
