Rigidcore Aerospace Applications

The aerospace and defense industry pioneered the use of honeycomb-based composite sandwich structures in fixed and rotating wing aircraft starting in the 1960s. Despite the successful integration and widespread use of these structures in a variety of applications in today’s aerospace systems, there remains a need for a quasi-isotropic honeycomb core material that when integrated into a sandwich structure can handle forces not well handled by traditional honeycomb.

If you are developing aerospace composite systems and could benefit from an alternative core material that has inherent rigidity, disseminates forces readily, and accepts fasteners easily we’d like to hear from you.
